Common questions: Air freight
What goods suit air freight?
Light, valuable and urgent goods: clothing, shoes, accessories, small electronics, spare parts, and samples before you order in bulk.
What is volumetric weight and why does it matter?
Airlines charge for the space cargo takes up. If a carton is light but bulky, you pay on volumetric weight. Example: a 60×40×40 cm carton has a volumetric weight of 16 kg even if it weighs 5 kg.
Can I ship batteries, liquids or cosmetics by air?
They have special airline rules and some aren't accepted by air. Tell us the product before you buy and we'll advise the permitted route; sea is often the answer.
Goods we can't ship
To protect your shipment and comply with customs and carrier rules.
- Flammable materials and hazardous chemicals
- Weapons, weapon parts, ammunition and replicas
- Medicines and supplements without official approval
- Counterfeit branded goods
- Anything banned from import into Iraq
Batteries, liquids and cosmetics have special rules for air freight. Ask us before ordering.
